Phoebe Kretschmer
CERAMICS STUDIO MANAGER

What is your self-care routine?

I like to cook tasty and nutritious meals, as well as drink enough water and get enough sleep every day. Managing time between socialising with friends, my home life and my hobbies helps me to feel balanced. And taking time out to relax and recharge is always a must for when life is busy.

How do you unwind after a day of work?

I like to get outside and spend time in nature with my husband and dog. Then when we get back home, have a shower and make sure to moisturise my hands after working with clay throughout the day. After that I make something for dinner before relaxing on the couch and either watch a show or read before going to bed.

Phoebe uses the Leif Lillypilly Hand Wash to keep clean while at work in the Ceramics Studio.

Riley Stone
FURNITURE STUDIO TECHNICAL PRODUCT MANAGER

What is your self-care routine?

My self-care usually consists of sawdust exfoliation, a really good scrub, and maybe a bandage or two if the day got really exciting!

How do you unwind after a day of work?

Riding home clears my head, then it’s off to the gym to work out the knots from the day. After that, a shower, food and sinking into the couch for some well earned rest.

Danielle Barrie
JEWELLERY/METAL STUDIO MANAGER

What is your self-care routine?

I’m not sure if it would be considered a routine as I am a bit sporadic with things and have a reasonably full schedule, but there are a few things I tend to squeeze in here and there. I like listening to audiobooks while I work, go for walks. drive and while I run errands as this helps me to not overthink business or design things which I have a tendency to do. I also do a bit of yoga which always makes me feel great, but I don’t do it nearly enough! I do have a strict skincare routine that I always do no matter what at the end of the day, as jewellery making involves a lot of polishing so you can get a bit grubby.

How do you unwind after a day of work?

At least once a week I like having a really long hot bath as I often sit in the same posture at the bench for long periods so I can get pretty sore and stiff. The water need to be nearly scorching! I get out the magnesium flakes and a bath bomb, and watch a little British Procedural on my phone. The murder mystery element might not work for everyone but it keeps my mind occupied and makes me sit still for more than 5 minutes!
