2024 VIVID Furniture Design Finalist

Foundation Year Furniture Associate James Walker has been selected as a finalist for the 2024 VIVID Design Competition Emerging Design Awards (Furniture Design) for his works ‘Basalt Set’ and ‘Otto Side Table’.

Saturday Yard Work by Nathan Martin was invited to exhibited in ‘Soft’ at Melbourne Design Week. Situated within an existing residential dwelling on the lands of the Kulin Nation, the soft apartment is transformed into a curated gallery of works offering a sensory experience of space, uniquely curated each day.

Continuing Furniture Associate Nat Penney has been invited to exhibit in Newmarch Gallery, Prospect. A winter beach is a good place for seeing clearly is a suite of sculptural and wall works, which nestle between function and uselessness. Vibrating, bubbling, rocking; mimicking the ways in which we self soothe to find focus and relief.

Continuing Glass Associate Julia Fernandes is currently exhibiting a collection of contemporary glass works in Lush: South Australian Botanicals at JamFactory at Seppeltsfield. This exhibition showcases contemporary craft practitioners’ responses to the rare and unusual beauty of native botanical plants across the South Australian landscape, with artists exploring form, shapes, colours, texture and, in some cases, their edibility and medicinal value.
